Gawcott is a compact village, with a population of around 800, standing on elevated ground two and a half miles from the centre of Buckingham.
The Village supports many activities based variously at the Village Hall, the two churches, Roundwood School, The Crown public house and the Richard Roper Playing Field. The Parish is proud of the Village Hall and the library, housed in a K6 telephone box on the Village Green.
The Gawcott Parish Community Group promotes activities for residents including Quiz Nights, a Village Fete, Halloween parties and various activities around the Festive Christmas period. These events raise funds for community events and facilities in the Parish.
The Parish Council is dedicated to ensuring that the Parish ‘voice’ is heard in Aylesbury and to maintaining and improving the Village environment in spite of restricted finances .
This website provides community information about what goes on in Gawcott as well as business-related information about the Parish Council. If there are community activities you would like publicised please communicate with the Parish Clerk.
